Have any of you heard of 'CW Seed'?

I was looking to see when arrow is on (since I don't plan on checking extratorrent every 10 minutes) and apparently they have a streaming service with some of the DC animated movies, for free? I mean, there are commercials still, but you don't have to pay.

It's bizarre. They have Crisis on Two Earths and Doom, JL: War and Flashpoint Paradox (but no throne of atlantis as far as I can tell).

But what's really weird is that they have The New Frontier. It just kind of amazes me that Warner would hand them over like that considering they only keep them on Netflix for like 18 months.

Yes. They have a channel on the Roku. The CW is weird though, they have two separate apps, CW and CW Seed. Their programming is divided between the two different channels, so depending on which program you want to watch, you need to access the applicable app.

We use it to keep up to date on The Flash. I also use one of the channels quite often because they have 12 seasons of Whose Line Is It Anyway on there, which I love to watch just before going to bed.

They have Arrow, Flash, Birds of Prey(?) and Super Girl on there. I assume they also have Riverdale since they were advertising the hell out of it before it was released. Best part, there's no registration or log in.

I didn't even know birds of prey existed, and i wasn't able to find vixen anywhere else. What the fuck are they thinking? Advertising content but not the exclusive platform it appears on is a TERRIBLE idea.

Wolverine through the years.

Dang, no matter Jackman really wanted to make a movie with an old Wolverine, he's old!

You know, I never noticed that they did his triangle hair before.

Then again, it's been a LONG time since I've watched the X-Men movies.

Glitterbomb is the book that really got me back into reading comic books.

This month I'll be buying more comics than I ever have in the past, yet this week there's nothing I plan to pick up with the exception of maybe Royal City.

This week is a pass.

Here's one I am really looking forward to. The first issue was fantastically written and not only piqued my interest in the world, but also created an atmosphere that left me wanting to know what happens next. Hopefully this turns out to be a great story. Based on just the first issue, I highly recommend it.

Here's a series I've been reading from the beginning, a six part run that I wrote about on this board before. Not a big fine of the art, even after 5 issues, but the story has kept me entertained. I recommend borrowing or renting it from the libraryt when the trade comes out. Could easily be adapted to a film.

>Frostbite #6

>The sense-shattering conclusion of the hit miniseries arrives with a bang! Keaton has been cast out of the convoy, but Vic's new allies are not to be trusted. If Keaton can take them out of the picture and get Vic to Alcatraz, can she even redeem herself?

I'll probably pick this up now that there's a trade of it. Pretty much everyone I've heard from says it's great.

I thought this arc was pretty solid. Also Jay's coming back in Flash #22, which should be fun.

This is pretty big news!

>Karen Berger is launching a new line of creator-owned titles as part of Berger Books, a new imprint of Dark Horse Comics. Berger announced the news while accepting the Industry Appreciation Award at this year's annual ComicsPRO meeting in Memphis, Tennessee. No details were given on the creators or titles involved.

Although Surgeon X was shit (waaaay too British) the lady definitely knows how to select and edit unique stories, and she's played a huge role in some of the most appreciated comics/graphic novels to date.

Dark Horse had a strong year with interesting titles, but 2017 is off to a slow start. Looks like that might change.

Yeah Dark Horse can only publish so many Hellboy or Aliens vs. X books

Rise of the Black Flag was pretty good, but it ended introducing a character that I know nothing about, since I've never read Hellboy.

Lady Killer and Ether are both pretty damn good books.

That's awesome. She was on a podcast I listen to about a month ago talking about launching Vertigo and how much she enjoyed bringing adult stories to press. Something to watch for sure.

DC much?

Attached is my haul for this week. Mostly catching up with old releases, but somehow didn't pick up Mother Panic #1 & 2, which I know I meant to. I think I accidentally grabbed two issues of Jessica Jones, since I lost interest around issue #3 of it.

Not shown are a few new releases I have.

The Wild Storm #1
God Country #2
Rockstars #3

I also wanted to pick up Heathen #1, but I couldn't find it at any of my local shops unfortunately.
Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

So the Sonic Comics by produced by Archiecomics are going on hiatus and there are talks of the series being taken down after over a decade of issues. Who else here /sad/?

File: 1486679911198.png (44.41 KB, 178x153, sonic.png)

I've never read them. Are they as good as the cartoon?

There are 2 new Sonic games coming out this year, so I wouldn't imagine a very long hiatus.

File: 1486680744230.jpg (143.26 KB, 495x750, sonic65.jpg)

I read them briefly when I was a kid in the early 90's, very formative to my future love of comics

Pic related is probably the first comic I ever bought
