Because the only shows television can get are the characters that Netflix doesn't want. A team goes to movies, B Team goes to Netflix, and the leftovers go to television.

It's unfortunate, because Cloak and Dagger was a book that had interesting characters and situations. Two runaways relying on each other for survival (they needed each other in a symbiotic type relationship).

Unfortunately if the trailer is an indication, it's now going to be a teen drama that heavily relies on the modern expectations of teens. Instead of being intelligent, independent kids that are responsible for their actions, it looks like they have been turned into the quintessential idea that we should remain children indefinitely. Real teenagers don't act this way.

Also, in some of those scenes in the trailer, they were standing way too close to each other. That was awkward to even watch. I assume Freeform (being a Disney company) is going to push for them to be in a sexual relationship.

Also, why the fuck does Tyrone not stutter? It's as if they took out all of the things that made us connect with the characters and just plugged in some cookie cutter humans left over from a canceled season of any other ABC teen show.

They're 100% going to fuck, unless cloak is gay. It's not because of some kind of racemixing agenda, but rather CW syndrome. This is going to be a show like the ones on that network BESIDES The Flash and Arrow. Where they spare no expense to pander to 15 year old girls that watch shows exclusively for shipping.

http://www.cbr.com/witchblade-tv-series-in-development-nbc/

Looks like Sony finally found someone to pick up this show. Going to be interesting to see how Witchblade fairs on a network that typically pushes values that are in conflict with the series.

>With “The Vampire Diaries” ending this season, Dries will write the script while also executive producing the series with Brian Young. *Marc Silvestri* and Matt Hawkins (writer of comics including “Think Tank” and the President and COO for Top Cow) will also be along to executive produce with Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz.

With Michael Turner being deceased, I wonder if his family had to sign off on the show, or if Silvestri was able to do the deal on his own. Turner's comic Fathom recently got a relaunch, so maybe Witchblade will soon do the same?

Need? No. What we do need is one that lives up to the potential of the books. Hopefully this newest one isn't written by a prude, nor written by someone that basis their entire understanding on DeviantArt posts.

A nice balance of story and sexiness.

More information at http://www.cosmicbooknews.com/top-10-comic-books-march-2016

I always find these lists to be interesting.

Marvel was the top earner by dollars, while DC was the top publisher. This makes sense considering the top book was the $10 issue of Spider-Man (which is really expensive). Honestly, I'm surprised it sold so well with that price tag. The issue was about twice the size of a typical comic, so the value is justified.

The top 10 comics list was dominated by DC, who secured 5 of the slots, Marvel getting 4 of them, and The Walking Dead by Image Comics being the sole contender not by the big two.

Interestingly, Image has the top two best selling graphic novels, Saga Volume 7 and The Walking Dead Vol 23.

Check out the link for more tidbits from March sales.

Is that image from like, 2005? It's not really relevant now since DC is regularly selling out, and from 2011-2016 people above the age of 15 were saying "fuck everything EXCEPT batman".

Ironically i think Batman isn't that great right now, but i just think tom king's writing style is really bizarre. Detective is definitely the superior book.

Doom Patrol On Indefinite Hiatus After #6

Apparently Gerard Way can't get his shit together. What a surprise, an emo song writer has problems with deadlines.
