ya, being able to back up your game indefinitely is a big deal.

Your link sucks though, it's just an introduction to their new site https://fckdrm.com/

I like they list other DRM-free sites

This is SERIOUSLY uncool, game developers work just so, so hard putting these products together for you, and they should be able to make it so that you can literally never play it again if they so choose.

You really have no right to continue playing it after you've paid. And let's face it, if most of you gamerbros can get out of paying, you will, just because you're entitled. Awesome gamer companies like EA need you to keep supporting them, and this is how they make it happen. Without DRM, they'd have to fire the workers who are pulling ridiculous overtime to finish your video games, or even shut down entire dev studios! And nobody wants that.

Alright, so I'm the anon that won the giveaway the other day for post >>1000 and thought I'd make a little post about the game I won called "The Fall"

When I got the game I had an expectation that I would play the game for 5 minutes and then uninstall, however I have to say that this game is actually bringing me along for the ride.

The mechanics are fairly basic, right click to turn on your flash light and explore in front of you. You can find little points where if you focus on them then some text will pop up explaining what that thing is - i.e "it's some kind of switch. There is a slot for a security card" - but also some some explanations of the environment. I doubt this game will be winning awards for innovation in platforming anytime soon, however mechanically it is fun enough.

The real strength of the game is in the storyline, I'm not that far in but you play as the AI inside the combat suit of a pilot and basically it is your job to keep the pilot alive. Without giving away too much of the plot, it is a requirement that you (you being the A.R.I.D AI) never put your pilot in danger, however the combat suit that you play as has basically done an Asimov and reinterpreted it's governing rules to allow it to put the pilot in danger if it means it might keep him alive.

So far, it's prettyfun/10, but I'm not that far into the game and have noticed a coupla annoying things

For those interested, I haven't started wagglin on Mario Galaxy yet, i've been playing Mare Nostrum and Verdun

play the game again as another role, until you finish the roles. constantly try different play-styles, each one changes up the game in an extreme way. even though there really aren't very many skills in the end, there are endless combinations that you can use with them and it's crazy how much the game changes from each role to another.

Drozdowsky just became the fastest person ever to beat Super Mario 64 on the NES at 6:41.76. Its pretty cool, its possibly the single most competitive record in all of the genre. Hes the only American in the top 10, and he's #1.
Heres the twitch clip https://clips.twitch.tv/SmoggyVenomousCaterpillarCurseLit

Though I will never actually speed run a game my self, I love watching them. I like the way the runner continuously find exploits and refine their gameplay and turn the game into a blur and a shell of its former self.

Anybody here speedrun, or like speed runs?

His videos are pretty damn good, I must say. I always find history like this interesting, even when it's about pointless stuff like speedruns. I think the Choco mountain or 4-2 are his best videos though. Focusing on just a single stage or track or something really focused like that lets him go into greater depth on some of the technical challenges. Also he picks pretty good background music and has all of the music he uses documented on a Jewgle doc, which is nice.
